9. Will I qualify for the State Retirement
Pension?
In order to qualify for the full basic Retirement Pension you must
have paid national insurance contributions for 30 of the years in your
working life.
A reduced pension entitlement may be available if you have less than
this number of years.
You can make up some lost years by paying voluntary contributions.
